Farmers’ markets are a big part of what we do, and we are seeking suitable candidates to grow with us to expand our existing presence. Market hours generally run from 9 am to either noon or 1 pm with about 1/2 hour of setup and breakdown plus ~1 hour of travel before and after. See more details below.

Company

Dressler Estate was founded five years ago by Brian and Olga Dressler, a husband-and-wife cider making team. Their production space is at their property 30 miles west of Philadelphia in Downingtown, PA. Brian and Olga’s mission is to establish long-standing community partnerships that allow them to create excellent products from the bounty of what Pennsylvania’s land has to offer.

Compensation

$15/scheduled market hour.

Reimbursement for current federal mileage rate of $0.585/mile for 2022 (will cover miles driven from pickup of product to market and from market back to return the remaining product).

Description

Must be 21 or older.

Able to maintain a consistent schedule to be on time, planning for travel, parking, and traffic.

Can work independently throughout a market day.

Access to a reliable vehicle before, during, and after a market to transport product and market equipment.

Capable of lifting 53 pounds (weight of farmers’ market tent, heaviest piece of equipment).

Accurate and responsible handling of cash/credit transactions, making change, ringing up products.

Complete pre-paid Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) Responsible Alcohol Management Program certification (~2 hours online) upon hiring and maintain on an annual basis.

Maintain compliance for all transactions with state code, including verifying identification where required while ensuring products are not sold or sampled to intoxicated customers.

Knowledgeable of products, categories, and tasting notes allowing for an informed and professional approach to navigating a customer through the product selection.

Positive attitude, professional appearance and conduct, and willingness to grow.
